Ned's Burial
I report this on behalf of a friend, a Millawa resident who went past the Greta cemetery yesterday.

Hi Bill
I had a look at the freshly mown Greta cemetery today and in the nearest corner to the gate of the catholic section there is what appears to be a fairly recent square plot surrounded with a ground level 4 inch concrete edging and filled with small rock screenings that spill over the edges.

A smallish boulder is embedded in the gravel at the head of the plot with a smoothed section on the front but no inscription.

That would be the only place in the cemetery where the ground could be disturbed and the disturbance disguised.

They are talking about Ned's wish to be buried in consecrated ground but maybe that just means a wave of the wand over wherever they choose to bury what's left of him.
Cheers
David H

Decoy perhaps? all the same good to see the ironclad bushranger make his way home and in consecrated ground.

No its not a decoy.
The plot described belongs to the LLoyd family and the work on the plot has been undertaken by the Lloyds.
I was at the cemetary he day family members were present to consider how to mark the plot appropriately in a manner to ensure vandals did not do their best to remove the marker proposed.
